Volunteer in Cambodia on your gap year and organise extra-curricular activities with children at local NGOs. Bring education and fun and make a real difference in children’s lives.
Your gap year volunteer role: This project gives volunteers the opportunity to work with local NGOs to lead a wide range of activities for children who need attention and care to suit them as individuals. Volunteers can get involved with leading groups in teaching arts & crafts, dance, music, drama, computers, sport and much more. The project also encourages volunteers to help teach children important life skills such as personal hygiene, nutrition and social skills.
We work with local NGOs who focus on protecting children against all forms of violence, exploitation, abuse, trafficking and child labour. Volunteers can help by working with NGOs in the local community which have been specifically identified as being in particular need.
Your gap year experience: Leading children’s activities in local communities is a fantastic opportunity to give back through meaningful volunteering. You can inspire children to discover the confidence and learn the skills needed to give them a chance at a brighter future. You will find the children appreciative of your time and effort.
This volunteer role requires no qualifications and although previous experience would be an advantage, a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude and an imaginative approach is just as important. You will gain teaching experience and learn about Cambodian culture by becoming immersed in the local community.
