The Hill-Tribe Experience

Once exiting the Phnom Penh airport there was an immediate sense of the recent recovery after an era of the Khmer Rouge. The infrastructure is a mix between a grey past, and a modern flavor. While the buildings of previous generations stand, there is a growth of new buildings with modern style. Everywhere you go the people are generous, and kind, always smiling. Never was there an instance that I felt excluded from the local culture.
