Hi,
I'm Robynne. I'm 19 and I decided to take a break before going to uni because, well, I needed a break before going to uni!!!
I chose India because it's such a vast place and I knew I wouldn't ever be bored - and man, I certainly haven?t been!
Well, I've been living and working in Chennai
for 3 months now, and I can honestly say that I feel like a local. As
expected my first couple of weeks was like jumping into a big bath of
cold water - complete culture shock! But as soon as the "Oh my God, is
that child having a poo in the street?!" initial reaction had worn off, I
began to realise what a super (if random) place this is. For me, Chennai
really sums up today's India - old, eastern philosophies and traditions
sitting side by side with western advances.
